Letter to the Mission Superior
Dear
Rev. Fr. Klement Vaclav,
Greetings from Divyadaan, Salesian Institute of
Philosophy. We hope that this letter
finds you in the best of health. This
letter is to inform you of the missionary group in Divyadaan and its objectives
and activities.
The Missionary group in Divyadaan is a group of young
Salesians volunteering already now to work in the Missions. At present there
are 14 members under the animating presence of Fr.Tony D’souza, a former
missionary in Africa and Kuwait. The motto for the year 2012-13, which we have
chosen is “BE MY WITNESSES .” The group basically animates the Liturgy on 11th
of the every month in our community. Animations include, besides the Holy Mass,
guided meditation, rosary, adoration, evening prayers or prayer services etc. The group actively and
creatively animates the community. In addition to this we have the “missionary
week” from 4th of November to 11th of November.
In this academic year we have also started a blog named
‘Divyadaan Missionary’(http://divyamission.blogspot.in/).
We are venturing further by communicating with other missionaries whom we know,
and we have created an E-mail ID (divyadaanmissionary@gmail.com
) to facilitate communication. The blog deals with different topics and regular
area-wise missionary activity information. It will be updated every week. We ourselves
receive twice a month talks from our animator Fr. Tony who is very enthusiastic
and is the brainchild of these new initiatives. His conferences are simple yet
thought provoking. In all these endeavors we are duly supported by our Rector,
Fr. Savio D’Souza. We also have the missionary notice board where we post
various animations like Cagliero 11, as well as replies of the missionaries we
correspond with. The group has been very closely following the deliberation of
the missionary work of the Salesian in the Muslim world.
Dear Father, thank you for the interest you have
manifested by requesting Fr. Tony for our contact details. We assure you our
prayers and look forward to your own personal guidance for our group and our
individual formation to be Salesian missionaries.
